We are a locally owned and operated Restaurant and Coffee Shop in Lakeside. We are a popular spot for breakfast and lunch, and offer a variety of breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, salads, backed goods, Food and Beverage as well as quality coffee, tea, and other beverages.
In 2004, following the closure of Pepper McGregor's Coffee House & Café, the founder Carl Ehlenz, who is also the owner of Bettys Pies, established New London Café. Back then, it exuded a charming ambiance reminiscent of a grandmother's house and served delightful breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, on October 1st, 2021, Jacob Ferris and The Jenkins Family assumed ownership and introduced remarkable improvements and added Quality Coffee, New Food and Beverages to this unique Restaurant
Our Chef John-Tyler Picconatto, a culinary virtuoso with an unrivaled passion for the art of cooking. Born and raised in the heartland of the Midwest, his journey in the culinary world began at a tender age of 8, ignited by a deep-seated love for creating flavors that would tantalize the senses.
After honing his skills and mastering his craft, Chef John-Tyler pursued formal training at the prestigious Culinary Art Institution International. Armed with a wealth of knowledge and expertise, he embarked on a culinary adventure spanning over two decades, where he artfully crafted delectable dishes from scratch, catering to high-volume demands and leaving diners craving for more.
Beyond the kitchen, Chef John-Tyler indulges in a range of hobbies that further enhance his creativity and zest for life. When he's not expertly wielding a knife, you'll find him delighting in the intricate process of unearthing and collecting beautiful agates and other geodes. As a self-professed movie and music buff, he finds inspiration in the diverse narratives and melodies that shape our culture.

We make soups, sauces, wild rice patty's, strawberry rhubarb jam and much more in house and from scratch. We have our very own talented baker that makes all of our pastries in house, all of our biscuits and even our French Toast is made in our own kitchen. We use bread from Johnsons Bakery, Yker Acres meats, Anahata Herbals to name but a few of our local suppliers that enhance our Restaurant. So, no matter what time of year, you can be sure you're eating quality food and contributing to the local economy.
We use the Quality Coffee by Underwood Coffee, roasted right here under the same roof. Using our La Mazarrco espresso machine we will fancy you up with your choice of delicious espresso, cappuccinos, lattes or one of our other specialty drinks that enhance our Food and Beverage options for our Restaurant
